Machine Operator - Night Shifts Location: Scarborough

Salary: £20.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday

Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for a permanent night shift position within a busy engineering and manufacturing environment?

Castle Employment Group is recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Scarborough.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has previous experience operating industrial machinery and is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with excellent earning potential.

You will work across a variety of production machinery, with full training provided on the company's specific equipment and processes. Previous machine operating experience is essential, but you don't need to have worked on every machine listed below.

What you'll be doing

• Operating a range of engineering and production machinery safely and efficiently.
  
  
• Working with equipment including plate processing machines, band saws, drilling machines, shot blasting equipment, robotic coping machinery and milling machines.
  
  
• Setting up and monitoring machinery throughout production.
  
  
• Producing work to required quality standards while meeting production targets.
  
  
• Carrying out basic machine checks and quality inspections.
  
  
• Moving between different machines and production areas depending on workload requirements.
  
  
• Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised working environment.
  
  
• Learning additional machinery through in-house training.
  
  

What we're looking for

• Previous machine operating experience is essential.
  
  
• Experience within engineering, manufacturing, steel processing or a similar industrial environment.
  
  
• Confidence operating industrial production machinery.
  
  
• Experience with saws, drills, milling machines or steel processing equipment would be advantageous.
  
  
• Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  
  
• A reliable, practical and flexible approach.
  
  
• Willingness to learn new machinery and support different areas of production.
  
  

Hours and Benefits
