DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer job in Earley – Up to £80K

A leading wireless communications company is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join its growing engineering team in Earley. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support secure cloud-based communications platforms. Working closely with both development and operations teams, you’ll help build scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure while driving automation and DevOps best practices.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms
• Experience managing Kubernetes clusters, container orchestration, and cloud-native infrastructure
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Experience with AWS CloudFormation and Azure DevOps Pipelines
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code design principles and development lifecycles
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes tools including Helm, Kustomize, and Kubernetes Operators
• Experience implementing GitOps practices using ArgoCD or Flux
• Strong Linux and Windows systems administration skills
• Scripting experience using Bash and PowerShell
• Experience producing technical documentation and infrastructure designs
• Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and application operations
• Ability to mentor colleagues and promote DevOps best practices across engineering teams

Desirable Experience:

• AWS Control Tower, Landing Zones, and IAM Identity Center
• Secure cloud infrastructure and governance
• CI/CD pipeline development and automation
• Cloud security and operational best practices
