Job Description:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated TA to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students' educational and personal development, working closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning experience tailored to each child's unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN in various subjects and activities.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of each student.
- Help manage behaviour and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor and report on students' progress and well-being.
- Support students in developing social skills and participating in school activities.
- Perform administrative tasks such as preparing learning materials and organising classroom resources.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
- Must be able to drive and have access to a reliable vehicle for commuting and potential off-site activities.
Desirable:
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development.
- First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
