About the role
Location: Near Guildford / Cranleigh (Free staff transport provided daily)
Hours: 36.75 hours per week (No evenings, no weekends, and 56 days of school holidays!)
Pay & Perks: £1,000 Joining Bonus + Performance Bonuses + Regular Salary Growth
Options: Full-time or Part-time available (Minimum 3 days per week)
If you are currently working in healthcare, adult care, retail, or hospitality, you know how exhausting irregular shift patterns, weekend work, and dead-end roles can be.
It's time to trade the unpredictable hours for a stable, Monday-to-Friday career where you can make a real difference in the lives of autistic children-while we pay for you to get fully qualified.
We are seeking patient, resilient, and caring individuals to join a specialist educational team as a Trainee SEN / CABAS Teacher. No prior teaching experience or qualifications are required. If you have the right attitude and a basic background in helping others, we will handle the rest.
Why Career Changers Love This Role:
True Work-Life Balance: Say goodbye to evening and weekend shifts. This is a term-time-only role featuring 56 days of school holidays plus bank holidays every year.
Earn a Fully Funded Teaching Qualification: We completely fund higher education pathways, including CACHE Levels 2-4 and Qualifications in Behaviour Analysis or High Incidence & Disabilities.
A Real Career Ladder: You will not get stuck in an entry-level position here. We offer clear, structured progression into Lead Teacher and Class Supervisor roles.
Free Daily Commute: Save money on fuel and travel. We provide a free private transport service picking up and dropping off staff from Guildford and Cranleigh every day.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:
Working in small, highly supported classrooms on a 1:1 or small group basis, you will use positive reinforcement to help autistic children thrive:
Teaching vital life skills, communication, and emotional development.
Planning and delivering interactive, engaging learning activities.
Supporting pupils during active times, including playtime, lunch, and fun community trips.
Assisting with personal care routines (such as feeding and toileting) with dignity and care.
Do You Have What It Takes?
We value life experience and soft skills over school certifications. We are looking for:
People Experience: Professional, personal, or voluntary experience working with children, elderly care, support work, or individuals with disabilities.
Core Education: Minimum Grade C/4 GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths.
Resilience: A calm, level-headed nature when managing high-pressure situations or distressed behaviours.
Energy: The physical capability to keep up with an active school day, which includes bending, twisting, and working at lower heights.
Attitude: A positive, can-do mindset and a genuine willingness to learn new behavioural techniques.
Please Note: To ensure the safety of our pupils, all successful candidates must undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
