We’re recruiting for an eCommerce company in south Manchester who have several different brands and product ranges. This role sits within their Digital team and is focused on driving a team to produce a variety of SEO led editorial content. Sectors include sports, travel, music, hair and beauty and many more – there’s a huge range as you can see so when it comes to campaigns, the ideas are endless and that’s one of the many reasons this is such a great opportunity.

Contract details:

• 12 month fixed term contract starting in May/early June
• Strong potential to convert to a permanent role in another area of the business following completion – the business has seen significant growth over the last few years
• Hybrid role with 1 or 2 days required in the office each week

Role overview:

• Strategic focus, delivering on this year’s strategy then setting the strategy for each channel for 2025
• Management and development of a team of 3 direct reports
• Overseeing the delivery of a range of content including blog posts, newsletters, campaign copy, social media posts and product pages – plus involvement in new product launches
• Map out the monthly content calendar with support from the teams senior copywriter
• Ensure all content is fully SEO optimised
• Use SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush etc) to identify keywords in line with the strategy
• Regular reporting on analytics, metrics and performance
• Planning and running content days including filming for video content
• Working with brand ambassadors, influencers and freelance copywriters
• Reviewing, editing and signing off the teams work

This role is a fixed term contract to provide maternity cover, as such we are looking for someone with the above experience who can come in and largely hit the ground running. We’re looking for someone with the strategic expertise as well as experience managing a team. Strong SEO knowledge is also a must have, being familiar with the SEO tools and identifying keywords is something we are looking to see.
