General Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking General Kitchen Assistant to join our school catering team.

Our catering provision is runin-house, so you will be joining our own dedicated school team and playing an important part in providing a welcoming and efficient lunchtime service for our students and staff.

Working from 12:30pm to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, you will support the catering team during our busy lunchtime period.

Duties will include:

• Supporting the preparation and service of food
• Serving students and staff during lunchtime
• Clearing and cleaning tables, work surfaces and catering areas
• Washing up and assisting with general kitchen cleaning
• Helping to maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
• Supporting the wider catering team as required

We are looking for someone who:

• Is reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
• Has a friendly and positive approach
• Is willing to work in a busy school environment
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Is committed to providing a good service to our students and staff

Previous catering experience would be helpful, but enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn are equally important.

This is a great opportunity to become part of our school community and our own in-house catering team. The two-hour daily working pattern may be particularly suitable for someone looking for a part-time role that fits around other commitments.
