Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential? Do you believe in the power of positive role models and want to make a lasting impact in the lives of local youth? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are dedicated to providing empowering, holistic support to young people facing a variety of challenges. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging programs that focus on personal development, emotional well-being, life skills, and educational growth. You’ll work alongside young people, creating safe spaces where they can grow, learn, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Mentorship and Guidance: Build trusting relationships with young people and serve as a positive role model to help them navigate social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

Engage in One-to-One and Group Work: Facilitate both group activities and tailored one-to-one support, addressing individual needs such as mental health, educational goals, or life skills.

Plan and Deliver Youth-Focused Programs: Organise and deliver fun, dynamic, and inclusive activities that focus on personal development, employability skills, and community engagement.

Safeguard and Support Vulnerable Young People: Ensure the safety and well-being of young people by identifying safeguarding concerns and taking appropriate action in line with the organisation’s policies.

Provide Crisis Support: Respond to challenging situations with empathy, using de-escalation strategies and practical interventions to support young people in crisis.

Promote Positive Behaviour: Help young people set personal goals, encourage self-reflection, and foster personal accountability through mentoring and structured activities.

Collaborate with External Agencies: Work alongside social services, schools, local authorities, and other support networks to provide coordinated care for young people with complex needs.

Administer Reports and Case Management: Document progress, set SMART targets, and contribute to case reviews to ensure ongoing support for young people.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Experience with Young People: Proven experience working with young people in either a youth work, education, or support role.

Strong Communication Skills: The ability to build rapport with young people, parents, and colleagues.

Empathy and Understanding: A compassionate, non-judgmental approach to working with vulnerable individuals.

Problem-Solving Ability: Skilled in addressing challenging situations with innovative solutions and adaptability.

Safeguarding Awareness: A solid understanding of safeguarding practices and child protection protocols.

Team Player: A collaborative approach, working effectively with a multidisciplinary team to support young people.

Ability to Motivate and Inspire: Enthusiasm and energy to inspire young people to engage in activities and achieve their potential.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Youth Work Qualification: A formal qualification in youth work (Level 3 or above) or similar, although not essential.

Experience with Vulnerable Groups: Experience working with young people who may have additional needs such as mental health challenges, special educational needs, or those at risk of social exclusion.

Creative Activities: Ability to design and implement creative and engaging programs (e.g., arts, sports, team-building).

Why Join Us?

Impactful Work: This is a truly rewarding role where your day-to-day work can change lives.

Supportive Team: Work alongside passionate and dedicated professionals committed to supporting young people.

Training & Development: We believe in nurturing talent. Receive ongoing training, supervision, and opportunities for professional growth.

Flexible Working: We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements.
