About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at [School Name]. In this role, you will provide personal care support to students with a variety of needs within a school setting. Your primary responsibility will be assisting students with their personal care needs in a dignified and respectful manner, while helping them to feel comfortable and supported in their school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with personal care tasks, including toileting, dressing, and hygiene routines.
• Provide support for students with mobility difficulties, ensuring they can access all areas of the school safely.
• Ensure the dignity, safety, and comfort of students during personal care routines.
• Work closely with teaching staff to provide holistic support that fosters both the educational and personal development of each student.
• Help to promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for students with a range of needs.
• Follow school policies and guidelines around health and safety, confidentiality, and safeguarding.
• Maintain accurate records of personal care provided and communicate any concerns to senior staff or medical teams.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in personal care support, preferably within a school, healthcare, or similar setting.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn about personal care procedures and best practices.
• Empathy, patience, and a positive, caring attitude towards supporting students with additional needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality procedures.
• A proactive approach and flexibility to meet the varying needs of students.
• A commitment to ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of students at all times.
