Login to Save for later Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to work for our well respected client based in Poynton. Working Monday-Friday 8am starts (the client asks for flexibly on the start times depending on the planning etc). This is a temp to perm contract, so once 65 shift are completed with Driver Hire you will go full time with the client.  Please also note that if delivery’s are completed early you will be asked to assist in the warehouse.   Duties of our HGV Class 2 Driver includes:

• Driving the HGV vehicle safely and responsibly while complying with all road traffic laws.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Maintaining regular communication with the branch regarding your daily progress.
• Completing all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

To be considered, you’ll need:

• A full UK driving licence.
• A valid HGV Category C (Class 2)
• A valid Driver CPC qualification.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No DD, DR, IN or TT endorsements.
• 6 months’ relevant HGV driving experience (preferred).
• The ability to work to tight deadlines.

Pay Rates:
Paid weekly via PAYE HGV Class 2 Driver:

• £16.25 per hour – Minimum 8 hours

These rates include holiday pay, if you prefer to accrue holiday separately, then the rates become:

• £14.50 per hour – Minimum 8 hours
