Cover Supervisor - GraysFull-Time | Secondary School | Long-Term OpportunityTradewind Recruitment are looking for a confident and engaging Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Grays, helping keep lessons moving, pupils focused and the school day running smoothly.Your role is to provide the structure, confidence and consistency that allows pupils to get on with their work.And every day will be different.One lesson might be English. The next could be Science. Then Maths, History or PE. Different classrooms, different pupils, different challenges, but the same goal: keep learning on track.What will your day look like?You'll be responsible for supervising classes when their usual teacher is unavailable, helping pupils understand the work they've been given and creating an environment where they can get on with it.You'll be:Taking responsibility for classes across different subjects and year groupsDelivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring pupils remain engagedSetting clear expectations and maintaining a calm classroomManaging behaviour confidently, fairly and consistentlySupporting pupils with their work where appropriateEncouraging pupils to work independently and stay focusedLiaising with teaching staff and passing on relevant feedbackBecoming a familiar and positive presence around the schoolWho are we looking for?You don't necessarily need to be a qualified teacher.You might be an experienced Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, LSA or Learning Mentor. You could have experience working with young people outside education.
