Role: Teaching Assistant: SEN Support
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £95-£105 per day (Depending on experience and/or qualifications)

About the role
Source Supply are currently recruiting for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Doncaster from September. This is a full-time role providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support, encourage engagement in the classroom, and promote the pupil’s social and emotional development. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with both pupils and staff.

We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants as well as those with relevant childcare, education, or support work experience who are passionate about making a difference in a child’s educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils within the IR Unit on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assist with delivering tailored learning activities
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Help create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals
• Support pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs

Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and training. All successful applicants will:

• Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting
• A nurturing, patient and consistent approach
• Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
• Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
• Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to vehicle.
