About the role
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing engineering business to recruit an Industrial Electrical Technician/Engineer to join their team.
This is a varied, predominantly field-based role working across industrial machinery, electrical control systems and commissioning projects.
The Role
You will be responsible for installing, modifying, servicing, fault-finding and commissioning electrical systems on industrial machinery.
Projects will range from industrial control panels and fixed plant through to engine packages, generators, hydraulic equipment and 12V/24V DC control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and modify electrical systems on industrial machinery
- Wire motors, sensors, valves, actuators and field devices
- Install and modify control panels
- Fault-find AC and DC electrical systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on industrial equipment
- Support machine commissioning and start-up
- Carry out planned maintenance and electrical upgrades
What I am looking for:
- Qualified Electrician or Electrical Technician
- Experience working with industrial machinery or electrical installations
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
- Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems
- Full UK driving licence
