About the role

Location
Remote North West UK

We are pleased to work with a market leading organisation which has over thirty years of experience within the industrial and commercial heating industry. Our client is a UK success story having grown the business from humble beginnings to a global provider of steam boilers, hire boilers, boiler services, steam/boiler system accessories, spares and boiler control systems.
They are looking for a time served combustion engineer to join their team. The combustion engineer will service and maintain some of the industry’s leading steam boiler systems and combustion (gas/oil fired) products and control systems throughout the North West.
Salary
Our client is looking for the right candidate and is open to negotiation regarding salary. The salary will be commensurate with experience qualifications, time served and/or knowledge of the industry. Please submit your salary requirements along with your CV.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrable experience servicing and repairing steam boilers and subsystems
- Electrical experience (18th Edition preferred)
- Knowledge of control systems
- Combustion system experience (Electronic controls)
- Gas Safe registered
- Full UK driver’s license
- Able to travel with occasional overnight stays
- Demonstrable experience working as part of a team in an industrial engineering/service environment
- Technically competent- Able to work independently in resolving technical issues.
- Experience working with gas- and oil-fired combustion systems
- General pipefitting experience
- Have good computer literacy skills (e.g. Microsoft, Word, Outlook, Excel)
Desirable Skills
- 18th Edition Certified
- PLC control Experience
- IPAF Trained
- IOSH or Safety Passport Trained
- BOAS Certified
