Whether you already have laboratory or construction materials experience or you're perhaps looking to build a technical career with full training provided - this could be the opportunity for you.

We're looking for a Materials Testing Technician to join our team based out of Tarmac Clitheroe Asphalt Plant carrying out testing at our various Plants and Quarries in the North West, Lancashire, Blackpool and Cumbria. • Travelling to other local Tarmac sites when required to undertake sampling and testing activities
  • Identifying and escalating any quality concerns or potential issues
  • Working safely at all times and adhering to Health and Safety procedures and standards

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from individuals who are practical, detail-oriented and enjoy working in a technical environment. The ideal candidate will have laboratory experience gained within quality control, construction materials, aggregates or asphalt sector however full training can be provided if candidates demonstrate the positive behaviours required to succeed in the role

  • Good IT skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • A genuine commitment to Health and Safety

This isn't a traditional white-coat laboratory role. You'll spend time both in the laboratory and out on site, wearing PPE, working alongside operational teams and playing a key role in maintaining product quality across our operations.
