What You’ll Do As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will play a leading role in delivering complex defence and cyber programmes, ensuring robust systems engineering practices are applied across the full lifecycle. You will: Lead systems engineering activities across major work packages, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification Support Engineering Project Leads in delivering technical outcomes aligned to programme plans Define and develop high-quality technical solutions to complex engineering challenges Ensure stakeholder and system requirements are fully captured, validated, and realised Produce and maintain key systems engineering artefacts across the product lifecycle Contribute to design assurance, technical reviews, and compliance with customer and regulatory expectations Provide technical leadership and mentoring to systems engineering teams What We’re Looking For Were looking for a strong Systems engineer OR IVVQ Engineer,  Essential Experience: Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or relevant Defence/Aerospace experience Strong background in Systems Engineering and lifecycle development (V-model and related methodologies) Proven experience delivering high-quality requirements and compliant system designs Demonstrable application of ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 or equivalent standards Experience leading or mentoring systems engineering teams Strong technical documentation and formal review experience Working knowledge of DOORS, UML, SysML, and Enterprise Architect Background in hardware, software, or firmware development (ideally embedded systems) Desirable: INCOSE certification (ASEP / CSEP) Experience as a technical SME in complex engineering environments Familiarity with NCSC security standards and associated security artefacts For further information surrounding what's on offer please give Tor a call on [phone removed] and email a copy of your CV to [email removed]
