Embedded Software Engineer  Location - Southampton, Hampshire (Hybrid) Salary - Competitive DoE Security - Due to the nature of this position, you must be eligible to achieve a minimum of SC clearance, be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. Copello are working with a leading defence business, who are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop real-time embedded systems supporting critical defense and security technologies. This role involves creating innovative solutions for navigation, communication, and sensor systems, contributing to mission-critical projects that safeguard national interests. Required Skills: BSc/BEng or MSc in engineering, computer science, or related field Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming for embedded applications Experience working with embedded operating systems and real-time systems Knowledge of hardware platforms such as SoC devices and SDR frameworks like OpenCPI Familiarity with digital signal processing algorithms, with experience in MATLAB or Python for simulation Nice to Have: Experience addressing security concerns in embedded environments Background in electronics hardware design and FPGA firmware development Knowledge of defense-related fields such as positioning, navigation, electronic warfare, or sensors   To apply, please send your CV to [email removed]
