About the role
We are currently looking for a Cloud Developer for a Defence/Engineering company on a contract running till March 2027. Location 80% customer‑site based in Gloucester 1 day per week from the office (Romsey, Gloucester, Manchester) No home‑working option Contract Details Day Rate: £650-£675 per day Duration: Until 31/03/2027 IR35: Inside Clearance: Must hold current, transferable UKIC DV clearance. BPSS check will also be conducted Role Overview The Cloud Developer will operate across three primary technical practices: AWS Cloud Engineering Software Engineering Infrastructure You will work closely with both the company and the customer, delivering outcomes collaboratively across standard Sprint cycles, using SCRUM and KANBAN practices and artefacts. This is a hybrid‑cloud project involving both on‑prem and AWS components. The technology landscape is broad and evolving; while deep experience across all areas is ideal, strong candidates with partial skills and the ability to learn quickly will be fully supported to ramp up. Core Technical Skills AWS CDK S3 Lambda EKS VPC CloudTrail CloudWatch EventBridge IAM Policies These are foundational technologies for the current solution. The stack will expand significantly over the next year as new components are designed.
