SEMH Cover SupervisorCorby, NorthamptonshireFull-Time | Long-Term OpportunityTradewind RecruitmentTradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced and confident SEMH Cover Supervisor to join a specialist school in the Corby area.This role is ideal for someone who has experience leading groups or delivering sessions to young people, alongside a strong understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing classroom cover, delivering pre-planned learning and maintaining a structured learning environment, while supporting students who may experience mental health difficulties, emotional regulation needs or challenging behaviour.We are particularly interested in candidates who can combine strong classroom or group leadership skills with genuine SEMH experience and an understanding of how to build positive relationships with young people who may face significant barriers to education.What You'll Be DoingSupervising classes and delivering pre-planned lessonsLeading groups of students confidently and effectivelySupporting young people with a range of SEMH needsManaging challenging behaviour calmly and consistentlyBuilding positive and trusting relationships with studentsSupporting emotional regulation and positive coping strategiesEncouraging students to engage with their educationEstablishing clear expectations and appropriate boundariesDelivering small-group activities and interventionsProviding additional one-to-one support when requiredWorking closely with teaching, pastoral and support teamsHelping maintain a safe, structured and supportive learning environmentWhat We're Looking ForIdeally, you will have two key areas of experience:1. Experience leading or delivering sessions to groupsThis could include classroom cover, teaching, tutoring, coaching, youth work, workshops, training or intervention sessions.2.
