Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)Milton Keynes, BuckinghamshireFull-Time | Long-Term OpportunityTradewind RecruitmentTradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school in the Milton Keynes area.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or existing HLTA who is ready to take on additional responsibility within the classroom, support teaching and learning, and help students achieve their full potential.The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the wider support team, providing targeted support to students as well as leading learning activities and providing classroom cover when required.The RoleAs an HLTA, your responsibilities may include:Leading whole-class learning in the absence of the class teacherDelivering pre-planned lessons and learning activitiesProviding targeted one-to-one and small-group interventionsSupporting students with a range of abilities and additional needsHelping students overcome barriers to learningAdapting activities and resources to meet individual needsSupporting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessonsMonitoring student engagement and progressProviding feedback to teaching staffPromoting positive behaviour and maintaining a productive learning environmentBuilding positive relationships with studentsEncouraging confidence, independence and resilienceWorking closely with teaching, SEND and pastoral teamsSupporting the wider day-to-day running of the schoolWho Are We Looking For?We would particularly like to hear from candidates who have:Previous experience working as an HLTA or experienced Teaching AssistantConfidence leading classes or groups of studentsExperience delivering interventions or learning activitiesStrong behaviour and classroom management skillsThe ability to build positive relationships with young peopleExperience supporting students with different learning needsExcellent communication and organisational skillsA proactive and adaptable approachAn HLTA qualification or relevant Level 4 qualification would be beneficial, although experienced Teaching Assistants who have regularly taken on higher-level responsibilities are also encouraged to apply.Experience within SEND, SEMH, behaviour support or pastoral care would also be advantageous.Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?Dedicated consultant support throughout your placementAccess to free CPD and professional developmentFree access to The National College after your first day workedLong-term and potential permanent opportunitiesOpportunities to develop your experience within educationOngoing career support and guidanceThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in their career or an established HLTA looking for a new opportunity within the Milton Keynes area.Tradewind Recruitment is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
