Quality Control Manager

QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER LEEK AREA FULL TIME HOURS MONDAY TO FRIDAY PERMANENT UP TO £45K DOE  THE ROLE

• Accountable for QC System and Lab Operations for the site
• Responsible for testing and inspection requirements for all raw materials, products, intermediates, returns, waste, environmental requirements, preparing samples, plus equipment servicing and supply needs
• Supporting customer complaints process to ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner
• Coaching and training to ensure analyst competence – ownership of the QC Competency Matrix
• Ensuring resources are balanced appropriately to support plant needs
• Monthly and annual budget reviews and forecasting for QC needs
• Supporting the competency management system for QC elements
• Management of Product Specifications and Inspection Results information
• Responsible for product and raw material concessions
• Management of Raw Material Specifications
• Supporting the Supplier approval with respect to raw materials
• Supporting the ISO14001 system and delivery of the internal audit schedule
• Establish & maintain systems for monitoring and escalation of issues relating to effluent treatment plant

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Proven experience working in a laboratory environment within the chemical industry
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office suite and SAP
• Working knowledge of ISO9001 and 14001
• Relevant experience to be able to lead continuous improvement activities
• Experienced QHSE Auditor, for both internal and external
