💵 Compensation: £83,000 – £120,000 gross per year

📋 What You'll Architect

At Keyrus, we help organisations turn complex business challenges into measurable outcomes through data, AI and digital transformation.

As an AI & Data Solutions Architect, you will design and deliver enterprise-grade AI and data solutions, combining hands-on engineering with end-to-end solution architecture and client engagement. You will work closely with clients and multidisciplinary delivery teams to translate business needs into secure, scalable, production-ready solutions.

This is a hands-on individual-contributor role. You will remain technically involved throughout the solution lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through implementation and production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver end-to-end AI and data solutions, from concept and architecture through to production deployment.

• Develop scalable applications encompassing data ingestion, processing, orchestration, APIs, user interfaces, and AI capabilities.

• Leverage modern AI technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI frameworks, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, and cloud-native data platforms.

• Define solution architectures that combine AI, Data Engineering, Cloud, Security, and Software Engineering best practices.

• Build reusable accelerators, frameworks, and architectural patterns that can be leveraged across client engagements.

• Work closely with clients, delivery teams, technology leaders, and the CTO to transform ideas into scalable, production-ready solutions that create measurable business value.

• Present solution designs and architectural decisions to both technical and executive audiences.

• Support pre-sales activities, workshops, discovery sessions, and solution-shaping engagements.

• Stay current with emerging AI and data technologies, evaluating opportunities to create additional value for clients and Keyrus.

🛠️ What You Bring

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant academic background or equivalent professional experience.

• 10+ years of relevant experience across software engineering, data, AI and/or solution architecture, including significant experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions.

• Proven recent experience designing and delivering production-grade AI/GenAI solutions.

• Proven experience delivering technology, data or AI solutions within Financial Services, Banking or Insurance environments.

• Proven track record delivering production-grade technology solutions at enterprise scale.

• Strong experience working directly with business stakeholders, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience defining and leading solution architectures from concept to implementation.

• Professional proficiency in English.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Advanced Python development skills.

• Strong understanding of application architecture, system design, distributed systems, and software engineering best practices.

• Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.

• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms, including technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or similar.

• Experience designing and implementing Generative AI solutions, including LLMs, AI agents, and RAG architectures.

• Familiarity with modern AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or equivalent.

• Experience building and integrating APIs, data pipelines, and scalable cloud-native applications.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to balance technical excellence with practical business outcomes.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in consulting or technology advisory environments
