Senior PHP Developer

The Candidate :

·A respectable degree in computer science or a related subject

·Excellent PHP skills (5.6) on LAMP environment

·Excellent understanding of database-driven systems and MySQL

·An understanding of large scale system architectures

·Strong object orientated understanding

·Willingness to work with legacy code

·The vision to see how legacy code can be transformed by modern software engineering techniques

·An understanding of the benefits of Cloud computing and in particular AWS

·Good documentation skills / Business Analysis experience (commercial or academic)

·The ability to mentor and develop other developers

Additional knowledge of the following would also be beneficial

·XML, CSS

·TCPDF / FPDF and other PHP Libraries

·jQuery

·Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

·Web services

·Server architecture

·LAMP Technologies

·Mysql Custer / innoDB

·AWS application development

·Python

The Role :

 You will work within a team of 7 programmers/developers as part of Professional Services.

Candidates will be able to demonstrate sufficient experience in PHP/MySQL development as well as leadership capabilities.

The successful candidate will be involved in transforming systems from very robust and effective legacy architectures into a modern framework, while helping to ensure that service to clients remains at its normal high standard.

The role will involve leading a team of at least 4 PHP Developers.
