About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable EYFS Teacher to join Avanti Fields School and make a positive contribution to the learning, development and achievement of our youngest pupils.   You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching that builds on children’s individual strengths, interests and prior learning, while creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which they can flourish. You will inspire curiosity, encourage independence and help children develop the confidence and skills they need as they begin their educational journey.   Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and the wider school community, you will help ensure that every child receives the support, challenge and encouragement they need to succeed. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the wider development of EYFS practice and share effective approaches with colleagues.   In return, you will be part of a supportive team committed to educational excellence, character development and spiritual insight.   Please note: There is also an opportunity for the successful candidate to take on a TLR responsibility for leading the EYFS phase (Pre-school and Reception). If you are interested in taking on this additional responsibility, further details and the subsequent interview process will be discussed during the interview.
School visits are welcomed and encouraged. Please contact the school to arrange a suitable time.
What will you do?
  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive EYFS teaching that meets the needs of all pupils and supports their learning, progress and achievement.
  • Create a safe, stimulating and respectful learning environment, promoting positive behaviour, independence, wellbeing and high expectations.
  • Use observation, assessment and pupil information effectively to identify individual needs, adapt teaching and provide appropriate challenge and support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, parents and external partners to promote pupils’ development, wellbeing and wider success.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of Avanti Fields School, while maintaining high professional standards and actively supporting the safeguarding and welfare of pupils.
