About the role
Software Developer - (ASP, T-SQL)
Duties
- Support and maintenance of legacy web applications. This will require strong experience with server side scripting languages (eg. VBScript & PHP) & client-side languages such as HTML & JavaScript). You will need to have the ability to code by hand as opposed to using modern drag & drop IDE’s (such as .Net WebForms in Visual Studio) to auto generate code.
- Design, create & maintain complex relational databases in MS SQL Server.
- Develop and maintain complex T-SQL stored procedures and functions.
- Developing new web applications in VB.net.
Candidate Criteria:
- High level of proficiency in SQL Server development (TSQL).
- Web development based languages (JavaScript, CSS, HTML).
- Classic ASP and/or VBScript.
Desirable
- PHP 5+
- Experience configuring, implementing & troubleshooting IIS 7+ (PHP on IIS would also be beneficial)
- JQuery (including AJAX).
- Regular Expressions
