Pay: £13.70 – £15.20 per hour (depending on experience & qualifications)

About the Role:

Heart Teaching is proud to be working with a specialist school in Swanley that’s seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their nurturing team. You’ll be supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a caring, structured environment that helps them grow academically, socially, and emotionally .

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with autism to thrive in both learning and personal development
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver individualised learning plans
Foster an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere where every child feels safe and valued
Help manage behaviour with calm, compassionate techniques
Encourage life skills that boost confidence and independence

Who We’re Looking For:

A warm, kind, and patient individual with a genuine passion for SEN
Experience or understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
A nurturing mindset and strong behaviour management skills
A team player with excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Someone who wants to make a difference—not just fill a role

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
Must have the Right to Work in the UK
Able to provide at least 2 professional references that cover the last 2 years
