SEMH Learning Support Assistant – Essex
Location: North-East EssexHours: 8:45am – 3:15pm, Term Time OnlyStart Date: Autumn TermType: Full-time & part-time opportunities
County Teachers are looking for a dedicated SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join a new independent special school supporting primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs.
We’re looking for:
Recent experience supporting primary-aged children with SEMH or additional needs
Understanding of trauma-informed and relational approaches
SEMH or specialist setting experience is desirable
Calm, patient and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
The role:
You’ll support pupils with their learning and emotional wellbeing, build positive relationships and help create a safe, nurturing environment.
