Learning Support Assistant – Primary School
Location: EssexStart Date: ASAP / SeptemberType: Full-time opportunity available
County Teachers are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the community.
The school is looking for a caring, patient and resilient individual who can support pupils with their learning, including those with SEND, while helping them to develop socially and emotionally.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children, ideally within a school setting
Has experience supporting pupils with SEND (desirable)
Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils
Is patient, caring and inclusive
Can support learning through individual and small-group interventions
Is confident supporting positive behaviour and engagement
Works well as part of a team alongside teachers and the SENCo
Is committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
The role includes:
Supporting pupils in the classroom
Providing one-to-one and small-group support
Supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs
Helping pupils access learning and develop independence
Supporting social and emotional development
Assisting with adapted learning activities and interventions
Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
