Ready to make a real impact?

We’re looking for a Senior Building Services Engineer to join our Leeds office and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of building design.

You’ll partner closely with our Building Surveying department, blending hands-on inspections with innovative design solutions across the north of England. From healthcare to education, your expertise will drive projects that matter—nationally and locally—with a powerful focus on cutting-edge decarbonisation efforts.

Within this role you will be responsible for:

  • Design and specification of projects across various sectors.
  • Delivering M&E services; normal duties design, preparation of performance specs, site inspections of works in progress, site surveys/condition reports etc.
  • Preparing mechanical services designs and associated drawings for projects to be designed and delivered in-house
  • Preparing design calculations including those relating to ‘Energy Efficiency’ and building integration
  • Supporting the local MEP Lead in preparing fee proposals and sub-consultant appointment documents, tracking projects from inception to completion
  • Work collaboratively with MEP service teams in the North to ensure seamless integration of MEP Systems.
  • Reviewing MEP Mechanical design outputs to ensure assured service delivery.
  • Provide technical support to other service team members in other regions as required.
  • Inspecting construction activities and troubleshooting issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Site inspections of work in progress.
  • Project progress and client facing meetings.

As a Gleeds team member, you will have access to:

  • Opportunities to develop and grow your career
  • A contributory pension scheme
  • Employee Assistance Programme
