We’re working with an established and growing M&E contractor looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their Bristol-based team.
You’ll take responsibility for the delivery of mechanical building services projects ranging from approximately £80k to £5m, predominantly across healthcare, education and commercial environments.
The role offers plenty of autonomy and will involve a mixture of office and site-based working, managing projects across the South and South West from initial planning through to completion.
The Role
- Manage mechanical projects from pre-construction through to handover.
- Develop project programmes, budgets and resource plans.
- Manage mechanical installation, testing and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, engineers and suppliers.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment.
- Monitor programme, costs, quality and overall project performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant health & safety requirements.
- Take overall responsibility for the performance of your project teams.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong background in mechanical building services and plumbing projects.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- Experience managing multiple mechanical projects valued from approximately £80k through to £5m.
- A background within an M&E, Building Services or Mechanical contractor.
- Experience delivering healthcare, education, commercial or similar projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing installations.
- Good commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets.
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of relevant health & safety requirements.
- SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications would be advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
You’ll need to be within a reasonable commute of Bristol (BS5). This is an office and site-based position rather than a hybrid/home-working role, with travel to projects across the South and South West.
What’s on Offer?
Up to £65,000 Salary | Company Vehicle or Car Allowance | Private Healthcare | 33 Days Holiday Including Bank Holidays | Cycle to Work Scheme | Industry Training & Development
This is a great opportunity to join an expanding M&E contractor with a strong project pipeline and the opportunity to take ownership of varied mechanical projects across the region.
