“I was very sceptical about leaving my old job but I’m so I glad I took the leap and applied for my position at Apollo. Best thing I ever did, I get to spend more time with my children and watch them grow. Everyone is so friendly and easy to approach if you have a problem.” – Current HCA
About This Role We are looking for a female Healthcare Assistant to provide compassionate, person-centred care for a 17-year-old young man living with complex care needs.
He is currently in hospital awaiting discharge, with shadow shifts taking place at RMCH before he transitions home to his family in Burnley. This is a great opportunity to become part of his dedicated care team and support him as he settles back into home life.
The role involves supporting him with his personal care, daily routines, moving and handling, medication and clinical care needs, with training and support provided where required.
He enjoys spending time with his mum, watching Horrid Henry, Ben and Holly and Peppa Pig, as well as sensory activities such as lights and bubbles. We’re looking for kind, patient and attentive carers who can build a trusting relationship with him, engage him in the activities he enjoys and recognise his individual ways of communicating and expressing his needs.
If you’re passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care and making a meaningful difference to a young person’s life, we’d love to hear from you.
Please note: Due to the nature of our vacancies, our clients have the right to request either female or male staff.
Our client has requested female staff only to join their care team.
“This isn't just a job – it’s your opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s life.”
