Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School
Location: Roath, Cardiff
Salary: £92.59 per day (DOE)

Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a primary school in Roath, Cardiff. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to support the foundation phase of education, working closely with teachers to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. The successful HLTA will play a vital role in covering classes, leading activities, and ensuring pupils receive high-quality support throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

Covering classes across the foundation phase, ensuring continuity of learning.
Leading and facilitating engaging activities for pupils.
Working collaboratively with the Class Teacher to plan and deliver lessons.
Supporting the development of an inclusive and positive classroom environment.
Assisting with behaviour management and pupil wellbeing.
Contributing to the overall organisation and smooth running of the classroom.

Requirements:

Proven experience working as a HLTA or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
Strong understanding of the foundation phase curriculum.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting pupils and staff.
Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are desirable.
