Packaging Supervisor
Job Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of packaging line staff:
- Machine handlers
- Packer
- Helpers
- Monitor performance of packaging machines and arrange for timely maintenance or repairs.
- Train and guide staff on packaging procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Keep detailed production records, including:
- Quantities packed
- Rejected items
- Reasons for downtime
- Coordinate with quality control and warehouse teams for smooth material flow and dispatch.
- Ensure all staff follow hygiene, GMP, and workplace safety standards.
- Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Manage shift schedules, attendance, and basic performance feedback for team members.
- Preferably 3 years of experience in packaging or production operations within a food factory.
- Working knowledge of packaging machinery, production reporting, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of GMP and workplace safety standards.
- Experience with production reporting.
- Familiarity with packaging machinery.
