About the Role

They are a well-established, family-run plumbing and heating company serving domestic and commercial customers across Kent. Our work includes boiler servicing and repairs, heating installations, general plumbing, bathrooms, underfloor heating and air source heat pumps.

The company are seeking a recently qualified Gas Engineer with good plumbing experience to join our supportive team. You will work across South Kent, carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs and installation work. Guidance and support will be available on all jobs as you develop your skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out boiler servicing and gas safety checks in line with relevant qualifications and regulations.
• Assist with diagnosing boiler and heating system faults, repairs and breakdowns.
• Complete general plumbing repairs, maintenance and installations.
• Assist with boiler replacements and heating system installations.
• Work on radiators, heating controls, hot water systems and associated pipework.
• Develop experience with underfloor heating, unvented cylinders and air source heat pumps.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and the office team.
• Complete job sheets and reports accurately using our online job management system.
• Work safely and in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.

Requirements

• Recently qualified in domestic gas engineering, with relevant ACS qualifications.
• Good practical plumbing experience and knowledge of domestic heating systems.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Good communication, customer service and organisational skills.
• Reliable, professional and keen to learn.
• Able to work independently when competent, while recognising when support is required.
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Comfortable using a mobile phone or app to complete job records and paperwork.

Experience in boiler servicing, fault-finding, installations, underfloor heating, unvented cylinders or air source heat pumps would be advantageous but is not essential.
