Job Title: Support Worker (Temp to Perm)
Location: Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, United Kingdom
Salary: £14.24 - 28.48 including holiday 
(12 weeks temporary work which can lead to a permanent position after 12 weeks).

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join a leading social care provider in Merthyr Tydfil. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young people's lives by providing holistic support within a safe and inclusive environment. The position involves working closely with young people to help them transition into independent living, employment, or education.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker based in Merthyr Tydfil, your daily duties will include:

Offering day-to-day emotional and practical support to young people.
Motivating and empowering young individuals to gain independence.
Providing support and advice in line with support plans and keyworker requests.
Working collaboratively as part of a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker, you will need:

A minimum of 6 months experience working with children or within a similar social care setting.
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage with young people.
An understanding of trauma, homelessness, and domestic abuse.
A TMVA - Restraint Training Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
A current UK Driving Licence.
An Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
The right to work in the UK.
