Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our new Emotional Well-being Home in Syston, Leicestershire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team environment, helping children and young people between the ages of 8-18 who have experienced trauma and significant life events. The service aims to promote emotional well-being, independence, and confidence through personalised care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker based in Syston, Leicestershire, your daily duties will include:

Building trusting, nurturing relationships to promote the emotional well-being and independence of children and young people.
Leading and supporting a team of Residential Support Workers in delivering high-quality care.
Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
Documenting information accurately and ensuring all records are up to date in line with safeguarding policies.
Working in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to support the needs of service users.
Ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are strictly adhered to at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will need:

A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare or be willing to complete this within a specified timeframe.
Relevant experience working with children and young people in a residential or similar setting.
At least 1 year of supervisory and shift leader experience in a residential care environment.
A good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
