School Minibus Driver (D1 Licence Required)

We are currently recruiting a reliable, professional, and safety-conscious School Minibus Driver to join a progressive educational setting in Blackpool. FY1 (Central Blackpool, Promenade)FY2 (North Shore, Bispham)FY3 (Inland Blackpool, Marton, Great Marton)FY4 (South Shore, Squires Gate, South Blackpool) Starting in December 2026, this position is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, providing a secure pathway from an initial temporary arrangement into a permanent contract. Working full-time hours, you will play a vital safeguarding and support role by ensuring students are transported safely, punctually, and comfortably to and from school, as well as on educational trips and extra-curricular activities.Key ResponsibilitiesSafe Transportation: Safely operate school minibuses along planned routes to transport students to and from school and scheduled educational events.Vehicle Checks & Maintenance: Conduct thorough daily pre- and post-use safety checks of the vehicle (fuel, oil, tyres, lights, and tail lifts/wheelchair restraints where applicable) and report any defects immediately.Safeguarding & Student Care: Maintain a calm, secure, and orderly environment on board, enforcing excellent standards of passenger behaviour and assisting vulnerable or SEN pupils as required.Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate journey logs, adherence to traffic laws, school transport policies, and health and safety guidelines.Candidate RequirementsLicence Essential: Must hold a full UK Driving Licence with D1 entitlement (ideally with no more than 3 penalty points).Experience: Previous professional driving experience (minibus, PCV, coach, or school transport) is strongly preferred.Compliance: Must hold (or be willing to undergo) an Enhanced DBS check suitable for working with children.Personal Attributes: Punctual, patient, friendly demeanor, with a strong commitment to child safeguarding and customer service.#SchoolDriver #MinibusDriver #D1Licence #BlackpoolJobs #LancashireJobs #EducationJobs #SchoolTransport #DrivingJobs #TempToPerm #LocalJobs #TransportJobs #SupportStaff #DriverRecruitment
