Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our busy store team.
As a Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in creating an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers. You will welcome customers, understand their needs, provide product advice and help them find the right products. You will also support the wider store team with stock replenishment, merchandising, maintaining store standards and achieving sales targets.
This role is suitable for candidates with previous retail experience as well as individuals looking to start their career in retail. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers into the store and provide friendly service.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.
- Provide accurate information about products, prices and promotions.
- Assist customers throughout the purchasing process.
- Work towards individual and store sales targets.
- Process customer purchases using tills and point-of-sale systems.
- Handle cash and card payments accurately.
- Assist with refunds and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Replenish stock and ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked.
- Maintain high standards of store presentation.
- Keep product displays clean, organised and attractive.
- Receive and organise stock deliveries when required.
- Assist with stock checks and inventory management.
- Monitor product availability and report low stock levels.
- Support promotional activities and special offers.
- Help resolve customer questions and complaints professionally.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow company procedures, health & safety requirements and security policies.
- Work closely with colleagues to achieve store objectives.
