Morson are recruiting - Senior Mechanical Engineer (Pipework Component Design)Derby | Manchester | Warrington (Hybrid Working) Full Time | Permanent £48,000 - £62,500 DOE + Excellent BenefitsMorson are recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer - (Pipework Component Design) to support a major Small Modular Reactor (SMR) nuclear new build programme, helping deliver next-generation clean, safe and reliable energy.The RoleYou'll be responsible for designing high-integrity pipework components used in a safety-critical nuclear environment, working closely with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams.Design pipework components to ASME III / B31.x / EN 13480 / PED standardsProduce technical specifications, calculations and design substantiationReview drawings, supplier documentation and materialsSupport audits, inspections and technical assurance activitiesEngage with suppliers to resolve engineering queriesProvide technical guidance and peer reviewsWhat We're Looking For:Experience in pipework component designStrong understanding of nuclear / high-integrity design codesExperience producing safety-critical engineering documentationExposure to fabrication, manufacturing or installation environmentsStrong communication and stakeholder skillsRequirements HNC / Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) Chartered status or working towards (desirable)We anticipate paying a salary of between £48,000 - £62,500 DOE plus:- Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5% Benefits Allowance - £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
