Outstanding Ofsted-rated schools in Harrow are seeking talented and committed Computer Science Teachers to inspire students, develop their digital skills and support their academic success.This is an exciting opportunity for a Computer Science Teacher to join a supportive educational environment that values high standards, engaging teaching, digital innovation and student achievement.Role DetailsLocation: Harrow, North West LondonWorking Pattern: Full-timeContract: Temporary, with the potential to become permanentSalary: In line with the Main Pay Scale (MPS)Parking: On-site parking availableThe RolePlan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons that develop students' understanding of computing, programming and digital technologies.Teach key concepts across relevant key stages, including programming, algorithms, computational thinking, computer systems and data representation.Inspire students to develop their problem-solving, logical reasoning and computational skills.Introduce students to programming languages and practical computing applications, adapting lessons to suit different abilities and learning needs.Monitor student progress, assess learning and implement strategies to support academic achievement.Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and classroom management.Encourage creativity, independent thinking and the responsible use of technology.Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement and wellbeing.The Ideal CandidateHolds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised equivalent, where applicable.Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Computer Science and digital technologies.Demonstrates effective classroom management and inclusive teaching practices.Can deliver engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students of varying abilities.Has the ability to explain complex computing concepts clearly and make programming accessible to learners.Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Is enthusiastic about helping students develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world.ECTs and experienced teachers are both welcome to apply!
