Outstanding Ofsted-rated schools in Harrow are seeking talented and committed Geography Teachers to inspire students, develop their understanding of the world and support their academic success.This is an exciting opportunity for a Geography Teacher to join a supportive educational environment that values high standards, engaging teaching, geographical enquiry and student achievement.Role DetailsLocation: Harrow, North West LondonWorking Pattern: Full-timeContract: Temporary, with the potential to become permanentSalary: In line with the Main Pay Scale (MPS)Parking: On-site parking availableThe RolePlan and deliver engaging Geography lessons that develop students' understanding of the physical and human world.Teach geographical concepts across relevant key stages, including physical geography, human geography, environmental issues and global development.Inspire students to develop their geographical knowledge, analytical thinking and enquiry skills.Encourage students to explore key geographical issues, interpret data, analyse maps and understand the relationship between people and their environments.Incorporate practical activities, case studies and fieldwork opportunities to enhance students' learning experiences.Monitor student progress, assess learning and implement strategies to support academic achievement.Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and classroom management.Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement and wellbeing.The Ideal CandidateHolds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised equivalent, where applicable.Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Geography.Demonstrates effective classroom management and inclusive teaching practices.Can deliver engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students of varying abilities.Has the ability to make geographical concepts relevant, accessible and interesting through real-world examples and case studies.Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Is enthusiastic about helping students develop a deeper understanding of global issues, sustainability and the world around them.ECTs and experienced teachers are both welcome to apply!
