For many contractors, the accommodation contribution significantly reduces the impact of working away from home while allowing them to gain experience on a major aerospace programme.The RoleAs a Skilled Fitter, you'll play a key role in the manufacture and assembly of aircraft components and structures, ensuring all work is completed to the highest aerospace quality standards.Your responsibilities will include:
Manufacturing main and sub-assemblies using approved tooling, fixtures, and assembly techniquesWorking on both jig-controlled and non-jig-controlled aircraft assembliesReading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and proceduresProducing first-off production units to exacting quality standardsCarrying out mechanical assembly and fitting activitiesEnsuring compliance with aerospace quality, safety, and customer requirements
Shift PatternInitial Day ShiftMonday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30Friday: 07:45 – 12:45Future Shift Flexibility RequiredPotential move to Double Days:
06:00 – 14:0014:00 – 22:00

What We're Looking For
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or completed engineering apprenticeshipMechanical fitting, assembly, or aerospace manufacturing experienceAbility to read engineering drawings and technical instructionsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityPositive approach to safety and teamwork
