EDM Operator Vacancy - £37,000 - £43,000 DOE

Location: Corsham, Wiltshire
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–1:00pm
Overtime: Available
Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK

Key Responsibilities:

Program, set and operate EDM sparking and wire machines
Produce precision components to tight tolerances
Work from engineering drawings, including geometric tolerances
Carry out first-off and in-process inspections
Set machine parameters to optimise performance
Maintain accurate production and inspection records
Troubleshoot machine and process issues
Keep machines and work areas clean and organised (5S)
Follow job packs and complete operations as required
Report progress and issues to the Cell Lead

Requirements:

Proven experience as an EDM Setter, Operator or Programmer
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Experience working with precision components
Knowledge of machining various materials
Good attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
Basic IT skills for data entry and record keeping
Able to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

Experience with Sodick machines or programming
Background in precision engineering environments
