Senior Geotechnical Engineer

First Achieve engineering recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client a well- established and growing engineering consultancy within the ground investigation sector.

We're seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to manage complex site investigation projects and deliver high-quality technical reporting.

About the role

• Manage and supervise ground investigation projects on site
• Oversee drilling rigs and site teams, ensuring safe delivery
• Carry out soil/rock logging, trial pitting, and in-situ testing
• Undertake groundwater and gas monitoring/sampling
• Produce accurate site records and interpretative reports
• Lead on H&S compliance, RAMS, inductions, and site safety
• Liaise directly with clients throughout project delivery

Requirements for consideration

• Degree qualified (Geology / Geotechnical / Hydrogeology or similar)
• Experience managing ground investigation projects/contracts
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Chartered or working towards chartership
• Full UK driving licence
