This role is centred on software engineering rather than modelling, with a strong emphasis on clean code, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and scalable data processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production-grade Python applications.
- Build high-throughput data processing pipelines handling large datasets on local server infrastructure.
- Design and implement robust multithreaded and multiprocessing solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable code within a TDD environment.
- Optimise performance across CPU, memory, and I/O intensive workloads.
- Strong commercial Python development experience.
- Expert knowledge of multithreading, multiprocessing, and concurrency.
- Proven track record working in a Test-Driven Development environment.
- Experience building scalable, production-focused systems.
- Strong understanding of software performance optimisation and clean code principles.
- Experience working with big data and high-volume processing on localised infrastructure.
- Experience with C++ or Rust.
- Distributed systems or parallel processing experience.
- Background in scientific, engineering, or industrial software environments.
