Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer Kent £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits GRS are currently recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer on behalf of a rapidly expanding engineering contractor delivering electrical, control and automation solutions across the UK utility and industrial sectors. The Role Working as part of an established design team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality electrical designs for control panel, automation and industrial electrical projects from concept through to manufacture and installation. You will liaise closely with project managers, workshop teams, clients and commissioning engineers to ensure designs are delivered accurately and in line with project requirements. Responsibilities • Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts. • Design control panel and MCC solutions. • Develop technical documentation and design calculations. • Support project delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle. • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders regarding technical requirements. • Assist with design reviews and technical approvals. • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Requirements • Previous experience in an Electrical Design Engineer role. • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. • Experience producing electrical drawings and schematics. • Control panel, automation or controls experience highly desirable. • Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software. • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
