English Teacher

Flourish Education are recruiting for an English Teacher to join a well-established Secondary School in Dudley. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate English Teacher to join a supportive and collaborative school environment, with a strong focus on raising attainment and developing students’ literacy skills.

This school is seeking a committed and adaptable English Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering both English Language and English Literature. Experience preparing students for GCSE examinations would be highly advantageous.

You will take on full class teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment and marking, while building positive relationships with students and creating an engaging learning environment.

This is a full-time, long-term position, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year.

Required Skills and Experience as an English Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Secondary English – ECTs are also welcome to apply

• Previous experience teaching English, English Language or English Literature at secondary level

• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and GCSE assessment requirements

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

• A passion for developing pupils’ reading, writing and oracy skills

• The ability to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Pay: £174.71 to £240.72 per day, equivalent to £34,069 to £46,940 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year (dependent on experience)
