Salary: £26,000 - £31,000 per annum

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join a caring team in Bewdley, Worcestershire. This role offers the opportunity to work within a warm, rural environment that provides a safe and nurturing home for children who have experienced trauma or instability. The successful candidate will play a vital part in creating a therapeutic, trauma-informed setting where children are supported to heal, grow, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Residential Support Worker based in Bewdley, your daily duties will include:

Providing day-to-day care and emotional support to children, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and understood.
Supporting children in their education and development of independence and life skills.
Responding to challenging behaviours with resilience, calmness, and therapeutic approaches.
Working within a rota system, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins, to ensure children always have trusted adults available.
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to care plans in line with statutory requirements.
Developing strong, professional relationships with families, social workers, and other agencies to support the child's wellbeing.
Promoting a homely, safe, and positive environment that reflects the organisation’s values.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Residential Support Worker, you will need:

Good standard of education (GCSE or equivalent).
Willingness to undertake Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already held).
Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work shifts, including sleep-ins and weekends.
Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

Previous experience in residential childcare or social care.
Relevant qualifications in social care or child development.
