Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at a leading EMI residential home in Flint. This hands-on leadership role is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred dementia care. The successful candidate will be a visible and accessible leader, supporting staff and residents alike within this vibrant care environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Deputy Manager based in Flint, your daily duties will include:

Acting as the first point of contact for care staff, providing guidance and support throughout the shift.
Leading by example to promote high standards of compassionate, person-centred care across all shifts.
Supporting the development, supervision, and performance management of Senior Care Assistants and the Activities Coordinator.
Monitoring the quality of care delivery, intervening where standards are not met, and promoting continuous improvement.
Working closely with the management team to support operational needs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Developing meaningful, individualised activity plans in collaboration with the Activities Coordinator to enhance resident wellbeing.
Supporting staff during busy or challenging periods and fostering a positive team environment.
Covering senior shifts when required, including administering medication and managing incidents.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Deputy Manager, you will need:

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience in a leadership role within a dementia or elderly care setting.
Strong understanding of person-centred care principles and dementia-specific practices.
Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check and a Full UK Driving Licence.
