The Role 

• 
  

  Lead the design of electrical drawings, schematics and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

  Produce detailed technical documentation including work instructions, parts lists and maintenance manuals.

  Mentor and support other engineers, providing technical guidance and practical design solutions.

  Research and test manufacturing and assembly methods to improve electrical products and processes.

  Contribute to R&D projects, supporting new product development and range expansion.

  Design and carry out electrical testing methods to ensure product performance and reliability.

  Ensure full compliance with electrical design regulations, ISO 9001 standards and health & safety procedures.

  Act as a technical point of contact, responding to electrical queries across the wider engineering team.

  
  

The Person

• 
  

  HND (or equivalent) in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or significant relevant industry experience.

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate experience in a similar electrical design role.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong experience producing electrical schematics and technical drawings to industry standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficient with AutoCAD, SolidWorks and EPLAN (or similar design software).

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent understanding of current electrical regulations and compliance requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Comfortable working autonomously while contributing effectively within a team environment.

  Strong communication skills with the confidence to share technical knowledge and mentor others.
