Job Title: Design Engineer 
Location: Billericay
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum

We are currently seeking a Designer Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years’ design experience to join a highly creative and fast-paced design team in Billericay. This role is ideal for a commercially minded designer who thrives in high-energy project environments and is confident taking ownership of projects from concept through to production.

The business operates at a rapid pace, delivering innovative design solutions — therefore experience working in fast-moving project environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Design and develop display units and environments from concept to manufacture.

  
  


• 
  

  Produce detailed technical drawings and design packs for production.

  
  


• 
  

  Work with minimal supervision from the senior design team, confidently managing your own projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure designs are delivered accurately and on time.

  
  


• 
  

  Apply strong practical knowledge of materials and construction methods to deliver high-quality, buildable designs.

  
  

Essential Experience & Skills:

• 
  

  Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a professional design role.

  Excellent understanding of how units and components are assembled and manufactured.

  Ability to work at pace and manage multiple fast-moving projects.

  Strong technical drawing and detailing ability.

  Confident, proactive, and comfortable working with limited guidance.
